Winchester Thurston School Energy Audits

Winchester Thurston School is one of the Pittsburgh, PA region’s highest-ranked K-12 private academies.  In 2011, WT hired BPA to conduct energy audits of (6) buildings oin two separate campuses; a total of 99,000 square feet. 

BPA provided ASHRAE Level II and Level III energy audits, conducting comprehensive inspections of the buildings, and using advanced methods such as whole-building energy modeling and HVAC system re-tuning based on data from building automation systems, to generate packages of energy improvement recommendations. 

WT has been using BPA’s energy audit reports as a reference to guide their energy efficiency retrofit projects for more than a decade.  BPA’s energy audit recommendations were a firm foundation for the school’s broader efforts to make their facilities and operations more environmentally friendly.
